Art hanging at City of Grand Junction
I (Marie Granat, President of WCDA) received an application for the City of Grand Junction, CO Commission on Arts & Culture to “Take Part in Art” on June 17, 2017. I submitted the application and we were accepted to participate. It was mainly to display our art and get our information on our chapter out to the public. After we participated in this event, I received a call from Lorie Gregor, the Recreation Coordinator for the City of Grand Junction, inviting us to hang our Art work at the Grand Junction City Building the first quarter of 2018 and at the county building the second quarter of 2018. I jumped at the chance to display our art work and accepted. Our Art is now hanging at the City of Grand Junction Town Hall up on the second floor. It will be there the 1st quarter of 2018 and then it will move to the County Building next door for the second quarter of 2018.
If you get a chance, go and check it out. If you have any questions or need any information, please let me know. I can be reached at 720-244-0627 or at email@example.com.
Visit our Chapter Photos page to see many more examples of our art.
Western Colorado Decorative Artists is a Tole and decorative painting club for members of Western Colorado who love to paint. We have a chapter meeting the 2nd Saturday of every month except July and August. The business meeting starts at 9:30 a.m. and then we PAINT. Once or twice a year we have a well known teacher travel to Colorado to teach a seminar to our membership. We learn new techniques and different methods of painting. We have several talented teachers in our group and they take turns teaching the use of new product and new techniques.
We are an affiliated chapter of The Society of Decorative Painters. We are a fun group of painters who love to Paint, Learn and have Fun.
If you would like to be our guest at one of our meetings, or join our chapter, use our Contact page and let us know... we would love to have you!
